A man in his 20s has died in a Tipperary crash.

It happened on the R689 at Fennor, Urlingford at approximately 8.45pm yesterday.

A 25-year-old motorcyclist was fatally injured when his motorcycle collided with a sign.

He was pronounced dead at the scene and his body was removed to Kilkenny Hospital.

This stretch of road is currently closed to facilitate an examination, and local diversions are in place.
