Reports of Conor McGregor’s retirement may be greatly exaggerated – if this video posted on Facebook last night is anything to go by.
The Irish fighter was in Iceland at a training camp when he released his notorious retirement tweet.
And last night a video showing him grappling with Icelandic mixed martial artist Gunnar Nelson was posted on Mjolnir MMA’s Facebook page.
He doesn’t look much like a man settling down for a relaxed retirement.
UFC boss Dana White initially left the door open for McGregor‘s return in time for the UFC 200 event in July.
A rematch between McGregor and Nate Diaz was to be the headline fight at the Las Vegas event – and White said last night it could still happen.
“The thing is that Conor needs to clear up this whole retirement thing and clear it up fast,” White said.
“If he called me after this interview we’d probably still do it.”
However he has since ruled out McGregor having any involvement in the event.
