At least in Ireland we only have rain and snow to worry about.
In Virginia in the US, they also have to keep an eye out for tornadoes.
Ok, technically this is apparently a large whirlwind known as a dust devil but that wouldn’t be too reassuring if it was bearing down on you at speed.
The Lynchburg Hornets were pitching to the Bridgewater Eagles at Moon Field when this particular dust devil decided to invade the diamond.
The umpire stopped play as the whirlwind blew up between the pitcher and second base.
The players were remarkable unfazed as it whirled around them before disappearing as quickly as it had arrived.
With thanks to Lynchburg Sports for the clip – and kudos for the suitably dramatic background music.
