The world has woken up to a sea of purple today in honour of music legend Prince, who died yesterday at the age of 57.
Prince was found unresponsive inside his Paisley Park estate in Minnesota, and was later pronounced dead.
Paying tribute to one of his best-known albums Purple Rain, major cities all over the world have been lighting up accordingly.
