The Cork Sheriff has confirmed that a second sale of 500 cattle will take place at Cradenhill Farm, Nohoval, Kinsale next Monday morning.

However, this time only those who have provided cleared funds will be granted bidder numbers or access to the farm during the auction.

The cattle are being re-sold after some of the bidders in the first auction, failed to pay.

A prize-winning herd of more than 1,000 cows and calves belonging to Peter Kingston in Kinsale were brought to auction last week after ACC obtained judgment against him for loans of almost €2.5m.

The first auction attracted protests from locals who support Mr Kingston.
