Jose Aldo and Frankie Edgar are there. Jon Jones will be there ahead of his UFC 197 return. But the man everyone is talking about won’t be there, writes Stephen Barry.

Conor McGregor has said “I am still ready to go for UFC 200”, in a statement released on Facebook.

“If this is not enough or they feel I have not deserved to sit this promotion run out this one time, well then I don’t know what to say.”

So we’re expecting plenty of questions but will we get many answers?

Will Dana White give the green light for the McGregor-Diaz rematch to return to the top of the bill or will the UFC turn down the massive payday?

Will a new headline event be announced or a new opponent for Nate Diaz? Will Aldo-Edgar remain an interim featherweight title fight?

And will the fans get what they want?

The press conference is set to start at 10pm, Irish time.

Once that’s done, the weigh-in for UFC 197 will follow at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas at midnight.
