A man has appeared in court charged in connection with an alleged dangerous high-speed chase with Gardaí, at the weekend.

31-year-old Liam Keane, of Greenhills Gardens, Garryowen, Limerick, is charged with four counts of hit-and-run last Saturday night.

Mr Keane was arrested on Saturday night and taken to Roxboro Road garda station where he was charged this morning.

The court was told Mr Keane will be applying for bail but Gardaí said they would be objecting to the bail application.
