Dundalk have extended their lead at the top of the Airtricity League Premier Divison.

Two goals from Daryl Horgan earned the Lilywhites a 2-0 win over Bohemians at Dalymount Park.

Derry City couldn’t keep pace with the defending champions as they were beaten 2-0 by Sligo Rovers at the Brandywell.

Raf Cretaro and Jimmy Keohane scored the goals in either half for Rovers.

That means that Cork City are now up to second place after a 1-0 victory over St Pat’s at Turners Cross.

Karl Sheppard’s deflected strike in the 25th minute was enough for the Leesiders to claim all three points.

Shamrock Rovers got their title bid back on-track with a 2-0 win over Bray Wanderers. Killian Brennan and Dean Clarke got the goals there.

Galway United and Longford Town played-out a 2-2 draw. After Vinny Faherty scored after just two minutes, Enda Curran doubled the lead. But Josh O’Hanlon and a Conor Winn own goal helped Longford to take a point.

It finished 1-1 between Wexford Youths and Finn Harps, with Andy Mulligan cancelling out a Ryan Curran penalty.

In the First Division, Shelbourne beat Athlone Town 2-1 in the early game at Tolka Park and Drogheda United were 1-0 winners over Cobh Ramblers at United Park.
