The weather looks set to improve for the long weekend, but it is still not time to hit the beach.
Tonight is thought to be chilly with temperature dipping to 1-3C as well as some westerly winds.
Saturday is to be the best day of the weekend with a break in the clouds allowing some sunshine through, however there will be some showers along the west coast.
These showers will not be as heavy as what we have experience lately.
