Two canny gamblers in Dublin woke up a lot richer this morning, thanks to Leicester’s unlikely Premier League victory.

One of the punters had faith in the Foxes very early on in the season, backing them at 1500/1 in August. The punter placed a €10 bet on Leicester to win the league which saw them claim €15,000 following Tottenham’s 2-2 draw with Chelsea.

The other didn’t get on board the Leicester bandwagon until December, when they were priced at 33/1. A bet of €330 at those odds resulted in a €10,890 win last night.

“The Bank Holiday weekend was topped off nicely for savvy punters who backed Leicester,” said Aoife Heffron, PR Executive for BoyleSports.

“Punters are no doubt revelling in Leicester’s Premier League win, however it is a different story for us here at BoyleSports as we are beginning to lick our wounds off the back of a monstrous hit on Leicester’s win.”
