Opera star Andrea Bocelli kicked off Leicester’s Barclays Premier League coronation as he serenaded the King Power Stadium.

The Italian was led onto the pitch by Foxes boss Claudio Ranieri before their final home game of the season against Everton with Leicester having won the title.

Halfway through Nessun Dorma tenor Bocelli revealed he was wearing a Leicester shirt to spark huge cheers from the home fans.

Bocelli, who called Ranieri two months ago to offer his support in the title race with the Foxes manager helping to organise the performance, finished with Time to Say Goodbye.

Ranieri said, addressing the crowd, “We are the champions because you pushed this club so much. Thank you so much.”
