A man in his thirties has died following a road traffic collision in Co Mayo.

His motorcycle collided with a van at Mountfalcon, between Foxford and Ballina, shortly after 3.30pm yesterday.

He is believed to have been from Co Mayo.

Gardaí have arrested a man, aged in his mid 30’s, in connection with the investigation, and he is being detained at Ballina Garda Station under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act 1984.
