A woman is in a critical condition following what Gardaí believe may have been a hit-and-run in Dublin yesterday morning.

The woman in her mid-30s was found seriously injured at Lohunda Dale, Clonsilla, Dublin 15 at around 3.40am yesterday.

She was taken to James Connolly Memorial Hospital in Blanchardstown and later transferred to Beaumont Hospital where her condition is described as critical.

Gardaí have established that she had travelled in a taxi from Harcourt Street to the scene of the accident where she was found and are looking for the taxi driver.

Gardaí are appealing for anyone with information, particularly those who may have been in the Lohunda Estate/Ongar Distributor Road area between 3.15am and 4.15am yesterday morning to contact them at Blanchardstown Garda Station on 01 6667000, the Garda Confidential Line 1800 666111 or any Garda Station.
