Gardaí investigating the fatal shooting at the Regency Hotel in Dublin have arrested a man in his 20s.
The man was arrested in the North Dublin area.
He is currently detained under the provisions of Section 50 of the Criminal Justice Act 2007 at Ballymun Garda Station.
Four attackers burst into the Regency Hotel in February, where up to 300 fans including children had gathered to watch a weigh-in for a World Boxing Organization (WBO) title fight between Jamie Kavanagh and Antonio Jao Bento.
Bystanders ran for their lives as the gang, one of whom was disguised as a “woman and wearing an auburn wig” and the others as “crime drama” police officers, opened fire in the lobby.
33-year-old David Byrne was shot dead and two others were injured.
It is thought that Byrne was killed as part of the ongoing Kinahan/Hutch feud.
