Two football referees have been banned by the Czech FA for officiating a game while appearing to be under the influence of alcohol.

The two, fourth official Marek Pilny and assistant referee Jiri Jech, were involved in officiating a recent game between FK Pribram and Slavia Prague.

This footage, reportedly of Pliny, has emerged online.

In a statement the Czech FA said: “Pilny was visibly drunk from the beginning of the game.”

“He struggled for balance by the touchline, he fell, at times he ran with the linesman copying his movements.”

“After 10 minutes he had to be guarded by a bodyguard, and at halftime Pilny left for the changing rooms and never came back.”

According to The Telegraph assistant ref Jech was also visibly drunk and urinated during the game.

The two face disciplinary action and could lose their licences. The FA said the other officials involved in the game would also be suspended, for failing to prevent the situation.
