A 21-year-old woman has been injured in a shooting in Cork city.

She was hit in the neck in an incident at a house in the Hollywood Estate on the city’s northside, just after 1am.

She has been rushed to Cork University Hospital.

Gardai are describing her injuries as non life-threatening.

A 29-year-old man and a 22-year-old woman have been arrested in connection with the shooting.

They are being held under section 30 of the Offences against the State Act at the Bridewell and Gurranabraher Garda stations.
