The Toronto Blue Jays and the Texas Rangers played out a fiery encounter in Arlington last night.

Blue Jays fielder Jose Bautista was hit with a 96-mph fastball during the game and responded by sliding hard into Rangers second baseman Rougned Odor.

When Odor then punched Bautista both sets of teammates piled in to create a shemozzle and it took nearly 10 minutes for order to be restored.

Relations between the teams have been strained since Bautista performed a disrespectful ‘bat-flip’ when playing the Rangers in October last year.

Looks like the Texas team really know how to hold a grudge.

After the melee was broken up Odor and Bautista were ordered to leave the field, along with others from both sides.

The game, a series finale, was won 7-6 by the Rangers.
