A Leitrim ladies footballer scored a superb individual goal in the county’s one-point win over Roscommon on Sunday, writes Stephen Barry.
The Connacht Intermediate semi-final featured 11 goals in all, but Aine Tighe’s strike at the very start of the second-half was the stand-out moment.
The Leitrim captain plucked the ball from the air and out-paced all would-be tacklers on her way to a 12-second screamer.
You can see some of the others scores from the 11-goal thriller below, including some more from Tighe, who had totalled 4-3 by the final-whistle.
Not bad for someone who played half the game in midfield!
