The HSE and Tusla is to review the case of a young woman with intellectual disabilities who was left in a foster home after an allegation of abuse was made against a member of her carer’s family.

In a statement the Department of Health confirms the review will take 6 weeks and will be published on completion.

The Department has said the allegation did not involve the abuse of the children and the young woman known as Mary.

They have offered assurances that the review team will have access to all records held in this case.
