The Pro Life campaign is welcoming news that the number of women with Irish addresses attending abortion clinics in the UK has dropped.
The figure has almost halved in the last 15 years, according to new information from the British Department of Health.
While in the Netherlands it has fallen by just under five per-cent between 2010 and 2014.
The HSE Crisis Pregnancy Programme is reminding anyone in need, that crisis pregnancy counsellors are available for free.
Cora Sherlock of the Pro Life Campaign says it is good news.
“It’s a positive development to see that the numbers have declined for the 14th year in a row.
“Obviously we need to do a lot more in this country to provide support to families and to women facing unplanned pregnancy.”
