Sinn Féin are holding a protest outside Leinster House this afternoon against the introduction of green bin waste charges.
The Party is calling on the Government to abolish the new fees for green bins which are due to come into effect from July.
The waste collection scheme was introduced by former environment minister Alan Kelly, however opposition TDs think the charges will discourage people from recycling.

People Before Profit have also called for the bin charges to be scrapped.
Richard Boyd Barrett has called the move “extremely damaging” to the environment that would result in “environmental sabotage.”
