There were some raised eyebrows yesterday when Countdown’s co-presenter Rachel Riley was forced to spell out the word ‘BUMHOLE’.
Just another word to add to a series of hilarious moments on the long running TV show.
Although what was more surprising to viewers was that it was none other that dictionary expert Susie Dent – who is known for being very reserved – that made the suggestion for seven points.
Even featured panellist funny woman Janet Street-Porter was too embarrassed to tell host Nick Hewer what they had come up with.
“Ok, let’s get it over quickly, bumhole is there,” Dent announced before presenter Nick asked, “It’s going to be one of those days is it?”
Although having previously having to spell out words such as ‘Erection’, ‘Orgasmed’ and ‘Slutz’, ‘Bumhole’ was a breeze for Riley.
