A judge has withdrawn from the trial of former Fine Gael TD Sean Conlon.
Mr Conlon faces charges of assault causing harm in relation to an incident, in which it is alleged that Enda Duffy of Annahia, Ballybay, Monaghan was injured with a broken pint glass at Conlon’s family pub in Ballybay, Co Monaghan, on August 23 last year.
Judge Denis McLoughlin told the court today that he would exclude himself from hearing the case after considering a jurisdiction issue.
It has now been adjourned until July 20 to allow the selection of a hearing date.
Mr Conlan, who was present in court but did not speak, has been further remanded on continuing bail of €100.
