There are two Irish swimmers in action this evening at the European Swimming Championships in London.
Fiona Doyle will compete in the final of the Women’s 100-metre breastroke in a race that’s due to get underway just before 7pm.
And Shane Ryan will return to the pool for the semi-finals of the Men’s 50-metre Backstroke shortly before 8pm.
The American-born swimmer posted the fifth-fastest time in this morning’s heats, with a new national record of 25-point-one-nine seconds.
Also this morning, Sycerika McMahon placed second in her heat of the Women’s 200-metre Individual Medley, but in a time not fast enough to progress to the semis.
