UEFA has opened disciplinary proceedings against Liverpool and Sevilla following the Europa League final in Basle on Wednesday night.
The charges laid against Liverpool are for crowd disturbances and the setting off of fireworks, and Sevilla for crowd disturbances and the throwing of objects, UEFA has announced.
The case will be dealt with by UEFA’s control, ethics and disciplinary body on July 21.
Liverpool are already facing UEFA disciplinary action following their Europa League ties against Manchester United and Borussia Dortmund.
The Merseysiders were charged with illicit chanting, setting off fireworks, throwing objects and more general crowd disturbances by their fans from the second leg of last-16 tie against United at Old Trafford on March 17.
United were also charged with crowd disturbances and throwing objects, in addition to blocked stairways, from that tie.
Liverpool beat United to set up a memorable quarter-final with Borussia Dortmund, which they won 5-4 on aggregate after a thrilling 4-3 victory at Anfield.
But the Reds landed in more disciplinary trouble in both legs.
They were charged for fans letting off fireworks in the first leg in Dortmund, and again for the setting off of fireworks after a flare was thrown on to the pitch at Anfield.
The cases against Liverpool from the United and Dortmund games were due to be heard by UEFA on Thursday but, as yet, no decisions have been announced.
