Alan Kelly has said that he has no intention of leaving the Labour Party.

There has been speculation about his future in Labour after he failed to get a nomination to contest for the party leadership.

In an interview with the Irish Mail on Sunday, the Tipperary TD said he wanted to “play a decisive role in rebuilding the party”.

Labour’s former deputy leader said that he will work closely with grassroots members around the country.

Deputy Kelly promised to stick with the party “in bad as well as good times”.
