
Dublin’s Kellie Harrington has guaranteed at least a bronze medal for Ireland at the World Women’s Championship.
Harrington won her quarter-final with ease, cruising to a unanimous points win over Kazakh fighter Zarina Tsoloyeva.

Afterwards the boxer thanked her coaches for their unwavering support.
“Thanks so much to Jimmy Halpin and all the lads down in Glasnevin,” she said.
“Jimmy believed in me when no-one else did and that’s why I am where I am.”

The 2012 gold medallist fights in the afternoon session which starts at 2 o’clock.
