Gardaí investigating the fatal shooting of Andy Connors in 2014 have arrested a 34-year-old man in west Dublin this morning.

He is being detained at Tallaght Garda Station under the provisions of Section 30 – Offences Against the State Act 1939.

Andy Connors was shot a number of times in the upper body in Saggart Co Dublin shortly after 11pm on August 19, 2014.

He was then removed to Tallaght Hospital where he was pronounced dead

Investigations are continuing.
