Ireland’s Sanita Puspure has qualified for Rio after she finished in second place at a final Olympic qualifying event today.
The single sculler needed to finish in the top four at the regatta in Lucerne, Switzerland today .
It follows the news that Olympic boxing champion Katie Taylor has also booked a place at the Olympics, after winning her World Championship quarter-final.

Puspure’s top four finish in the women’s singles means that three boats will now be going to Rio.
It will be 34-year-old Purspure’s second Games – she made it to the quarter-finals in London in 2012.
