Siptu members working in Cavan General Hospital’s laundry have served strike notice on the company.

Laundry workers at the hospital will down tools from Wednesday, June 8, in a dispute over the outsourcing of the service to a private company.

In a statement this afternoon, Siptu organiser Sean Nolan said: “The outsourcing of our members work, which is a breach of local and national agreements, has left them with no option but to vote for strike action.”
