Customs officers have seized €20,000 smuggled cigarettes and 7 kilos of tobacco, worth an estimated €11,000 to the Exchequer.

Gardai from Dundalk were called to two houses where further searches led to the discovery of cannabis worth around €63,000.

€20,000 in cash was also found.

No arrests were made and investigations are continuing.
