A TRUCK driver had a lucky escape on the outskirts of New Ross this week when his vehicle overturned and collided with a wall.

The accident occurred at around 6.30 a.m. on Monday, at Ballymacar, and is believed to have involved just the one vehicle.

Traffic diversions were put in place while work was done to clear the scene of debris.

A spokesperson for New Ross Gardai said that no-one was injured and the road was cleared within a relatively short period of time.
