An Ireland fan who won over €1,500 worth of free haircuts with a 1994 World Cup bet is backing the Boys in Green once again.

Stephen O’Farrell bet his Italian barber friend that Ireland would beat Italy – which they did, 1-0 at Giants Stadium.

He has enjoyed a free hairdo every month in the 22 years since then.

That’s 1,200 haircuts – at around €12 each.

But now the pair are planning to go double-or-nothing on this month’s Euro 2016 Championship clash.

If Ireland beat Italy on Wednesday, June 22, Stephen will get a free haircut and a bottle of wine every time he goes to the barber.

If not, he’ll have to start paying for his haircuts again.
