Gardaí are investigating a head-on road traffic collision in Limerick.
The crash occurred this afternoon on the N24 between the Ballysimon Interchange and Kilonan Cross.
Four vehicles were involved in the incident.
Two people were taken by ambulance to University Hospital Limerick.
Their condition is believed to be stable.
The road was closed for approximately one hour causing traffic delays.
