Thousands of people are expected to attend the Bloom festival in Phoenix Park today.

Highlights include a children’s entertainment area, a food village and of course, the show gardens.

The gardens are all designed around themes and include one which celebrates Breast Cancer survivors.

Cancer Survivor Yvonne Joye was at the Marie Keating Foundation Garden: “I love to say to girls who are at that moment of diagnosis and are looking at a bleak landscape for a little while –you do flower again.

“You do emerge again, you do reclaim your femininity, your womanhood and all the fun that goes along with that.”
