A file will be prepared for the DPP after gardaí found no evidence of human remains in a search for two babies reportedly buried at a south Co Dublin house.

Gardaí have confirmed the search operation which was launched in April has now concluded.

It was launched after a woman came forward to report allegations of historical sexual abuse to officers.

She said she had given birth to two babies as a teenager and claimed that they were killed and buried in a garden.

A file will be prepared for the Director of Public Prosecutions.
