A new “Trump Not Welcome” group is to protest against the billionaire’s visit to Ireland this month.
The group is an alliance of left wing groups and says it wants to show “International Solidarity against racism, sexism and discrimination”.
Protests against the Republican Presidential nominee will take place in Dublin, Shannon and at his resort in Doonbeg in County Clare.
Memet Uldag of United Against Racism admits Mr Trump thrives on such controversy, but says that is not the point.
“In many ways, yes he will hear about us, the media will probably see our protest and his name will be even more in the media but we simply couldn’t let this go without raising an objection.”
