Following a request from the Meath county board, the Central Competitions Control of the GAA have agreed to postpone the Christy Ring Cup final replay between Antrim and Meath.
The replay between the sides, necessary because the first game had been incorrectly declared a Meath win instead of a draw, had initially been set for this Saturday June 11 in Newry.
But the CCCC has now said that given the unique circumstances involved they have agreed to move the match to Saturday, June 25 in Croke Park at 5pm.
Meath GAA had agreed to a replay, but had requested a move to June 18, to allow their players time to prepare.
But that date would have seriously inconvenienced Antrim, who are due to meet Derry in the Ulster SHC Championship the following day.
The GAA will be hoping the new date draws a line under the controversy, which has rumbled since the first game between the two sides on Saturday June 4.
