The Psychiatric Nurses Association say their members will down tools towards the end of the month.

They will hold strike action on June 29 in protest at understaffing in the mental health service.

Up to 87% of PNA members voted for industrial action in a national ballot.

In a statement this evening, PNA General Secretary Designate, Peter Hughes said the HSE “now has an opportunity to resolve the serious issues before nurses take to the picket line”.
