Gerry Adams is calling on the Taoiseach to campaign in the North ahead of the British EU Referendum.
Voters will go to the polls in the historic vote in a matter of days and Enda Kenny is due to visit England later this week.
He is set to meet with David Cameron and encourage Irish citizens eligible to take part in the ballot to vote to stay within the EU.
Sinn Féin President Mr Adams has said the Taoiseach should take his campaign north of the border,
“This referendum is nothing to do with changing the EU and all about the British Tory party seeking to erode human and workers’ rights,” said Adams.
“The North being pulled out of the EU is bad for all Ireland. There are enough difficulties created by partition.
“Sinn Féin wants an end to British government involvement in Irish affairs. Britain’s involvement in Ireland has had a lasting and damaging impact on our economies and on our communities.
“The Taoiseach has confirmed that he will campaign against a Brexit in Britain. I call on him to campaign in the North.”
