Here’s the ratings for the Ireland team that drew 1-1 against Sweden at the Stade de France.

Blameless for Sweden’s goal, pulled off one very good save early in the second half and generally looked confident whenever called upon. 6/10

Not quite as prominent as fellow full-back Robbie Brady going forward but certainly did have his moments in that respect – not least when he produced the assist for Wes Hoolahan’s goal with an excellent piece of play on the right. 7
JOHN O’SHEA:
Solid for the most part at the back but allowed Zlatan Ibrahimovic to dash past him and tee-up the equaliser. Also failed to make contact in front of goal in the first half when he should have scored. 6
CIARAN CLARK:
Unfortunate to net an own-goal in what was otherwise a fine effort at the back. 6
ROBBIE BRADY:
And how good were Wes Hoolahan and Robbie Brady???

Impressive display. Frequently caused problems for Sweden down the left flank, sent one effort narrowly over the crossbar and also did his duties defensively. 8
JAMES McCARTHY:
Not quite as involved as midfield partner Glenn Whelan but delivered a pretty sound performance. Booked. 6

Absolutely gave his all. Tired a bit late on and also picked up a yellow card following a poor-looking challenge. 7
JEFF HENDRICK:
Proved the team’s greatest threat in a dynamic showing. Called Sweden goalkeeper Andreas Isaksson into action three times with firm shots and saw another strike crack against the crossbar. 8
WES HOOLAHAN:
Very lively display capped with a superb finish. 7
JONATHAN WALTERS:

Put in a typically committed shift after overcoming an injury to feature, providing useful touches in attack and defence. 6

Worked hard but was unable to have too much of an impact. Nice touch to set things up when Hendrick hit the bar, and was then unable to get a touch when he dived to try to meet a cross. 6
SUBSTITUTES:
JAMES McCLEAN (for Walters, 63): Saw one header go wide. 6
ROBBIE KEANE (for Hoolahan, 78): Not really that involved after coming on. 5
AIDEN McGEADY (for McCarthy, 85): Also had a limited bearing on proceedings. 5
