This video show football fans at their absolute best – united in support of the team they love.

Brian Kerrigan from Derry and his friends were heading into the Sweden game last night when they came across a fellow Republic of Ireland fan who was distraught.

Jay-O from Dublin had lost his ticket and looked set to miss the game.

That was until the group clubbed together to buy him a replacement ticket. Brian recorded the moment they gave it to him.

“I feel like I have won the lotto,” he said at it was given to him, visibly welling up “I just lost my ticket and now I have another one.”

Brian and his friends are now heading home after an epic trip.

Well done to everyone involved – faith in footballing humanity restored.
