Irish fans flying home from the Euros today are facing delays due to strike action by French air traffic controllers.

Ryanair has been forced to cancel 44 flights to, from and over France today due to the strike.

Aer Lingus has cancelled eight flights.

Thousands of people are due to fly home after Ireland’s opening game against Sweden.

Passengers are being advised to check their airline’s website for full details of their flight.

Yesterday, some fans had to change their plans as a flight to France from Dublin airport was cancelled due to the ongoing industrial dispute.
