A candle lit vigil is being held by the LGBT community in Limerick city tomorrow evening for the victims of the Orlando shooting.
Forty-nine people were killed and 50 injured when a gunman opened fire at a gay club in the early hours of Sunday morning.
An online book of condolence is also being opened on Limerick council’s website this morning.
Mayor of Limerick Liam Galvin has said they are standing behind the LGBT community: “Our message to that community particularly since the referendum here in Ireland, we are standing 100% behind them.
“What happened is an unspeakable crime, it shouldn’t have happened.”
