At this rate, we’re not sure if the French will actually let the Irish fans go home at all.

While other countries are causing fights, letting off flares and generally being terrible guests, Irish supporters seem to be on a mission to endear themselves to their hosts.

Not content with changing tyres and general craic, the supporters of the boys in green are also cleaning up after themselves.

Make sure to listen as well as watch – a special round of applause for whoever came up with their tidying song: “Clean up for the boys in green”.

It’s unfair to tar all English fans with the same brush, but the caption on the video highlights how differently our two countries are being perceived: “While England fans throw bottles in Lille, Ireland fans clean up their bottles in Paris..”.

The behaviour of Irish fans is so good it could see a boost in visits to Ireland, according to the Tourism Minister.

Shane Ross said the travelling fans are the best ambassadors Ireland could ask for and believes their attitude will likely lead to more people visiting Ireland.

Meanwhile, these Irish fans, also in Bordeaux, started chanting to help a Bulgarian girl get a job at The Blarney Stone pub.
