A man in his early 50s is due before the Special Criminal Court this afternoon, after being arrested yesterday in Central Dublin, as part of an ongoing operation targeting dissident republican activity.
He was detained at Irishtown Garda Station under Section 30 of the Offences Against the State Act.
The man’s arrest came after the discovery of a viable device at Store Street in Dublin early yesterday.
