Over 10,000 people will head to the RDS in Dublin today for the CoderDojo Awards.
Young innovators from Ireland and across Europe will take part in the nations largest technology and innovation event this year.
The ceremony will feature projects created using computer languages learned at CoderDojo including robots, blogs and sites designed by young coders aged from 7 to17.
Co Creator of Coolest Projects, Noel King says the coder movement has really taken off: “In CoderDojo our principle is to teach as many young people across the world how to code and to do it for free.
“There are now over 1,000 Dojo’s globally, it is a movement that started in Cork in 2011.
“It has since grown globally on that principle of how many kids can we teach globally how to programme.”
