Martin O’Neill has sprung a surprise in his starting XI to face Belgium in Bordeaux this afternoon.
With Jon Walters out due to injury, many expected to see James McClean come into the starting line-up, but instead O’Neill has opted for Stephen Ward.
A lot of people aren’t very happy with his choice.
Stephen Ward vs Carrasco worries me, but tbf, Stephen Ward on a football pitch in general worries me. #COYBIG

Although the reaction hasn’t been entirely negative.
Stephen Ward is a decent footballer, definitely doesn't deserve the abuse he gets

Stephen Ward to score the winner. Keep your hatred and slanted views to yourselves lads. POSITIVE VIBRATIONS 🇮🇪 #COYBIG

What do you think, are you happy with Ward in place of Walters?
