The cutbacks to our Mental Health services have been too severe in recent years – according to the Psychiatric Nurses Association.

It is calling for an increase in staffing and resources, and says that the lack of crisis and outreach services needs to be addressed immediately.

The latest report from the PNA shows there has been a serious reduction in staffing levels, despite an increase in demand for services.

It is ten years since the Government introduced its ‘Vision for Change’ mental health strategy, which the Association says has been a means of cutting investment and removing services.
