The official opening of the Craanford Underpass was conducted by the Bishop of Ferns, Bishop Denis Brennan, last Sunday morning, bringing to fruition a project that puts safety to the forefront of the village community and was strongly facilitated by Wexford County Council.

Costing €150,000, some of the the underpass funds came from the Gorey Municipal District councillors discretionary fund, although 85% is raised through the community with a number of fundraising events ongoing.

The underpass links the national school on one side of the road with a number of community facilities on the other, including the church, community hall and community field.
